Hows that list coming along? You wll remember in-the first element of this line I included finding a list together of some ideas for the site or blog market. To learn additional information, please check-out: high quality backlinks. Hopefully you have a good sized list of general classes. Another steps involve narrowing the keywords and then doing some supply and demand research. This stirring best link building services use with has a few compelling warnings for when to deal with this hypothesis.

There are many keyword resources out there. I prefer to use Overtures because its free and easy. Keep in mind the figures from Overture are often filled sometimes a little sometimes a whole lot. They fudge the numbers by counting like queries fly and flies or affiliates and internet get counted since the same query. Remember they make more money convincing their potential advertisers that a key phrase is common.

Therefore plug in among the general search terms from your list. Im going to try dogs. Here are the results:

Queries done in February 2006

Rely Research Term

1104234 dog

225786 breed of dog

183180 dog training principles

152056 dog show

139072 dog breeders

98321 dog name

97021 dog instruction

91172 dog picture

88480 dog available

62657 dog brushing

56907 dog gift

I edited several like snoop dog out for expediency. I love dog training [basics] and dog breeds. Seems like individuals are searching for both a great deal. Given that we've the desire, lets look at to Google and examine the source.

Enter the actual search phrase, placing quotes around it so Google searches for precisely what we want. Google returns 5,59o,000 results, If you devote dog breeds. Try the top of right-hand corner with this number.

Ever heard of Sumantra Roy? Not likely. Hes a guy who focuses primarily on SEO and certain keyword study. He's devised a system called the Keyword Effectiveness Index or KEI to assess the potential of the keyword. Be taught extra resources on our favorite related article directory - Navigate to this URL: rank checker tool. I take advantage of an easier version of it. Here it is:

KEI = Demand / Supply

That's - Demand divided by Supply. The bigger the KEI the better. This gives you a simplified KEI that ranges from 1-10. People compare this for the Richter Scale, meaning that each successive number is exponentially greater compared to the last number.

In our example above, the KEI for dog could be.04, which isnt that great.

Dog Training Basics produces 45,600 results for Google. The KEI will be 4, which will be fantastic. Dig up further on building link by visiting our lovely article. Hmmwait a moment. That concludes our lesson. Bye. [Sound of running down the door and hall slamming]. A little geek humor there.

Do a few more and see what you develop. I did dog title and got a of.10, that will be bad. I also tried dog gift, which got me a KEI of.07.

I usually get the highest KEI key words and plug them back to the Overture instrument and test it again.

Incidentally, Wordtracker does this all for you. Try it at no cost and see how easy it is. Just remember that they use various resources for both supply and demand than my example above, but that shouldnt make an excessive amount of a difference.

So now we should have a much smaller list that's good quality prospects on it..
